  • What Nathan Wants

    Contemporary Romantic Comedy (R)

I am now working on this again!

This cover was made by Bonnie Steffens.

    See the Book Trailer!

It’s a contemporary romantic comedy about a wealthy forty-year-old man who wants to have a child to carry on his company after he dies, but he doesn’t want any woman.  He wants a woman who will make a good wife, so he interviews all the single women working in his company and finally decides that Amy Watson will suit him just fine.  For the sake of humor and the plot, she’s not going to like this.  But he’s determined to get his way and that’s when the contest of wills begin.

    Read Chapter One

    Read Chapter Two

  • Mitch's Win

    Tender historical western romance (R)

Novella #2 in the Montana Grooms series

A simple trip to town gives Mitch Grady more than he bargained for.  He didn’t just come back with grocery items.  He came back with a woman who has no memory of who she is or how she ended up in Lewiston, Montana.

*This will feature Patty and Greg Wilson from the first novella in the series, though it is not necessary to read the first novella to enjoy this one.

  • Wish From Afar

Contemporary Sci-Fi Romance that takes place on our world (R)

When I wrote "The Cowboy's Wish", people wanted to know more about the Wish Fulfillment Agency.  Well, I can't think of how to expand "The Cowboy's Wish", but another idea did come to me.  A man from another planet (where women are extinct) goes to the Wish Fulfillment Agency to request a wife who is physically compatible to him so he can have children with her.  Due to some genetic engineering on his homeworld which resulted in the current crisis, his body is physically programmed to have children if possible.  One may liken this to the biological need to continue the species.  This was something that developed over the course of a hundred years on his planet and is now a part of his hormonal system.  So there are some differences between him and Earth men.

But the story starts when he makes his wish and the Wish Fulfillment Agency sends him to Earth, and Caitlyn Davis is the lucky woman.  I expect this to have traces of humor but it's mostly a tender romance because he's going to struggle to be like her first husband (who died due to cancer) so she'll love him.  But the moral of the story (if you want to make one) is that each of us has worth as individuals (rather than trying to be someone we're not).

  • (title undecided)

    Romantic Fantasy

This is a story about an author who has plans for all of the characters in the book she is writing.  One character, however, is not pleased.  He's been given the role of the bad guy, and he wants to be the hero.  So he pulls her into the story (hence the fantasy part).  She comes from our time but the story is a historical western (another fantasy aspect with a "time travel" feel, I guess).  Anwyay, he's going to do whatever he can to convince the author to change her story.  I don't know if this will be a comedy or not.  We'll see as I write it.  :-P

  • The Leader (novella #3 in the Return of the Aliens series)

    Sci-Fi Thriller (PG)

This continues where "The Watchers" left off and is due out in October.  Topics covered will include: global financial meltdown and impending war in the middle east between Iran and Israel.  (What's that?  You think I'm reading today's newspaper headlines?  Well, I do take what is going on as inspiration for the series, and my sources range from conspiracy theories to the news.)

Anyway, in the midst of that, Alex is going to learn what they did to him at Area 51, Devon will learn an unpleasant truth, and Autumn is still going to be forced into searching for answers from her angelic guide.

  • the Larsons....

I have not forgotten Joel Larson (Shotgun Groom), Dave and Mary's second story (To Have and To Hold), or Isaac Larson (Isaac's Decision).  I just thought I'd take a break from it for awhile to do something new.  :-)
